Meet the team

Matt Britton

Matt trained as an actor, graduating to professional theatre, television and radio, where he has worked since 1997. Committed long term to working with marginalized young people, he has worked as an actor, writer, and director in Theatres, Schools, and within the Criminal Justice System across Europe. As Artistic Director for the company, he is responsible for generating IYF’s creative material, firmly believing in the endless possibilities of using theatre to help young people gain a clearer understanding of the Christian faith.

Brenda Noble

With many years experience working as a full time Youth and Schools worker, Brenda has long been committed to investing into the lives of young people. With a heart for the arts, and a firm belief in its value within the education system, she is dedicated to In Yer Face’s education programme, week in week out across Greater Manchester.

Emily Lawson

Emily Lawson is trained in Acting and Musical Theatre. Her credits include a national tour with Riding Light’s Theatre Company, several Shakespeare performances that were part of the RSC’s Fringe Festival in Stratford Upon Avon and short films that have featured in several film festivals in the UK and LA. Emily is delighted to now be with In Yer Face, using her faith and acting to encourage and spark young people’s interest in God and their own self worth.

John Dean

John trained as an actor, and since graduating in 2004 has worked in theatre, television, radio, and the odd advert; he has worked with a range of young people’s theatre companies touring the UK and Ireland exploring a wide variety of issues. He is passionate about the potential for theatre to change hearts and minds and ultimately to help people gain a better understanding of God and each other.

“I told you that I had heard excellent things about “In Yer Face” – well, they far exceeded my expectations! Our pupils really took to them and enjoyed challenging lessons that were also entertaining.”

Tony Summers Head of Religious Studies at The National School in Hucknall, Nottingham.
