In Yer Face devise and deliver high quality creative workshops that utilise innovative drama techniques to motivate & inspire individual potential, and/or look to engage participants within experiential learning.
Workshops enable participant’s hands on practice of professional theatre techniques, whilst at the same time exploring issues of faith. Members of IYF have led practical drama workshops in Christian and secular settings around the world.
Workshops available for 2009 include
Building a Character
A practical session which explores movement in a character, using props and costume as a trigger into character, and remaining in character in devised situations.
This workshop also explores issues of personal identity in a faith context.
Starting a scene
Techniques and tricks from the trade when starting to create a scene.
In a faith context, this workshop also explores the nature of God’s love.
Forum Theatre
This workshop enables participants to sit back and think, as they advise IYF actors in character to resolve issue based situations.
Note – Participants are not required to perform in this context.
